A visit to the Ch\u00e2teau is surprising, as you discover the life of its owners, and through them, its history.<\/p>\n<p>A few period pieces of furniture decorate the various rooms, but what really surprises us are the impressive collections belonging to Mr Douce, the Ch\u00e2teau&#8217;s current owner. He has one last treasure in store for you, hidden away in the basement: a prehistory museum that is one of the largest private collections of prehistory in the world.<\/p>\n<p>The Ch\u00e2teau has only been open to visitors since 2013, and can be visited freely or with a guide, which is advisable if you want to understand not only its history but also why the current owner chose to restore it.
